Relaunched Golf Day A Swinging Success!

Last month we were delighted to relaunch the Cambridge United Foundation Golf Day at Girton Golf Club...

The day consisted of pre-round refreshments, 18 holes of golf, a two-course carvery post round, an auction and prize giving.

We were delighted to be joined on course by current Cambridge United players Ben Knight and Zak Bradshaw as well as Cambridge United Legends Wes Hoolahan, John Taylor, Liam O'Neil, Josh Coulson and Robbie Nightingale.

The day was a swinging success, seeing the Foundation bring in just under £6,000. This included fundraising from auction prizes such as a driving range session with Ben Knight, spa membership at Quy Mill Hotel, afternoon tea at the Ivy, a private chauferred punting tour with Scudamore's Punting Company and much more.

Participants were also treated to a special experience on-course as Majority Audio organised a par 3 challenge on the 17th hole, that saw golfers attempt to take their tee shot with speakers nearby to put them off.

Thank you to Girton Golf Club for hosting the event, and to our sponsors on the day, Majority Audio and GCIS.
