05/05/26, 11:00
Following the conclusion of the 2025/26 season, we are delighted to announce the winners of our PFA Community Champion awards.
Liam Bennett was presented the award on behalf of Cambridge United’s men’s side for his work in the community, including attending our ‘Pledge United’ sessions during EFL’s Week of Action and an active advocate of the women’s side and ‘Her Game Too’.
On receiving the award, Liam said:
“It’s really important that I give back to the community, it’s something I really enjoy doing. I’m privileged to be in the position that I am, and I just want to spread positivity and make an impact, supporting as many people as I can.”
Jade Bell accepted the award on behalf of the women’s for supporting several Foundation initiatives and programmes during the 2025/26 season, including senior’s lunches and pumpkin carving.
Jade Bell said:
“I’m really grateful to receive the PFA Community Champion Award. The work the Foundation does in Cambridge and its surrounding areas is phenomenal and being visible as a player in that community is something I value highly. It was something I spoke about at the start of the year before joining the club and I hope moving forward, we can continue to get more female role models out in the community.”
The PFA Community Champion awards highlight players who have made their work with communities and good causes central to their role as a professional footballer.
Congratulations to both Liam and Jade on their awards, thank you for your support.
