Allotment Growing Group to launch every Wednesday morning

As we look to expand our growing number of programmes within the local community, we are pleased to announce we will be starting an ‘allotment growing group’, every Wednesday morning from 10:30AM to 12:00PM.

The group will meet at the Cledara Abbey Stadium at 10:30AM, home to Cambridge United Football Club, at our Community Café session; this is hosted in the Layrd Lounge. After a short chat and refreshments, the group will head to the nearby allotment where the Foundation rents a plot.

Participants will help to plan, prepare and look after the plot, and activities can be adapted to suit participants abilities.

The session will conclude at 12:00PM where the group will walk back to the stadium for further refreshments.

We advise participants wear suitable outdoor clothing and shoes as the ground around the allotment will be muddy, please also bring a change of shoes so mud is not brought back into the café.

If possible, please bring your own gardening tools such as a fork or spade, if you do not have tools, please let us know and we will try to provide them.
